People with cognitive disabilities have an equal right to technology and information access. A coalition of disability organizations and individuals asserted this right in the official declaration, The Rights of People with Cognitive Disabilities to Technology and Information Access and introduced it at the Thirteenth Annual Coleman Institute National Conference on Cognitive Disability and Technology, held October 2, 2013, in Broomfield, Colorado.

About Us

Founded by Dustin Wright who was one of the original pioneers of remote support services, and has worked in disability services/supports for 20+ years.  Dustin is joined by an advisory council made up of people that have been in disability services and technology for decades.

Disability Cocoon's goal is to be the resource where people come to discover, learn, shop, collaborate, and more.  We are a catalyst for a national disability technology movement.  We will probably always be changing into something new.

In case you were wondering, we chose the name Disability Cocoon to represent a place to come for massive transformation...get it, caterpillar to butterfly...cocoon.
